Professor of Paediatrics and head paediatric nephrology unit college of medicine university of Nigeria teaching hospital Enugu. A fellow of the national postgraduate medical college of Nigeria,West African College of Physicians and Nephrology Association of Nigeria. Also an associate research Professor at Nigerian Institute of Medical Research.
Practiced Paediatric Nephrology for over 30 years and the current President of the Paediatric Nephrology Association of Nigeria. Particularly interested in research on childhood nephrotic syndrome, paediatric Acute kidney injury, and malaria in children.
Involved in the H3Africa pediatric nephrotic syndrome study. Participated in various clinical trials and efficacy studies with anti-malaria treatments in children as Principal investigator or Co- investigator. National Principal Investigator for the Antimalaria Drug Treatment efficacy studies conducted by the National Malaria Elimination Program of the Federal Ministry of Health.
