Dr Olaiya is an Epidemiologist with more than twelve years of professional experience, I also possess strong skills in the areas of case investigation, contact tracing, surveillance, health promotion, WASH and quality assurance as well as developing standard operating procedure for setting up treatment centers, laboratory set up, management, and organization.
I have over 55 scientific publications, authored two Public Health Management books; with a strong Public Health background; and engaged stakeholders at Regional, Sub-regional, National, and Global level at different level for Field epidemiology health policy development, designs and implements policies, programs, and projects to achieve sub-regional and National strategic objectives.
I am a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), International Association of Public Health Logisticians (IAPHL), Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) the UK, African Society for Laboratory Medicine, etc. I have won several awards-2018 Outbreak Hero (ASLM), 2020 AfriSAFE Torch Bearer, and Scholarships-2002-2007 undergraduate and graduate awards
Achievements:
- Prepared a detailed Tidal Wave rapid assessment report (with pictorial evidence where necessary).
- Provided a comprehensive report on stakeholders’ engagement, recommendations, and presentations (with pictorial evidence).
- Participated in the launch of National Vaccine Policy in Oct,2021
- Prepared a detailed report of all consultations (with pictorial evidence where necessary).
- Harmonized national paper-based laboratory information system.
- Established a laboratory information flow structure.
- Developed a national paper-based Laboratory Information System after pilot.
- Supported the integration of laboratory information management systems with the national instance of DHIS 2.
