Maureen Nwachi is a trained Genetic Counselor, Certified Emotional Intelligence and Anger Management Practitioner. She serves as the Human Resource Personnel and Project Coordinator at Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative. Her volunteer work includes but not limited to serving as the Regional Coordinator to Nigeria for the African Congress on Sickle Cell Disease, Counsellor with the Alright’s Passion Network, Member of the Amplified Sickle Cell Voices – Australia, Secretary to the Coalition of Sickle Cell NGOs in Nigeria. She has an educational background in Biotechnology. She’s not just a sickle cell advocate but has thrived with sickle cell for almost 4 decades.
