Dr. Mrs. Yvonne Adu-Boahen holds Doctor and MSc Pharmacy degrees and Member of Ghana College of Pharmacist. She is Chief Regulatory Officer and the Head of Clinical Trials Department for regulating Clinical trials at the Food and Drugs Authority, where she has been working since January, 2006. Yvonne is a senior assessor of Clinical Trials Applications and a lead GCP inspector.
She is actively involved in organizing and training programmes designed to present current GCP to researchers involved in Clinical trials in Ghana and sub- Saharan Africa (Regional Centre Of Regulatory Excellence in Clinical Trials Oversight) She is a member of the governing board of the Pharmacy Council, Ghana. She serves as a member of the WHO Regional Expert Advisory Committee for Traditional Medicine and Covid-19 Response.
She has been a regular participant at the EU Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Working Group Workshop organized annually. In addition to her clinical trials portfolio, she is also adept at evaluating the quality, efficacy and safety of generic medicines. Further, Dr. Mrs. Yvonne Adu-Boahen has extensive experience in pharmacy practice at varied levels of application.
