Mr. Obe is a business development, strategy & project consultant involved with enterprise business development initiatives for SMEs in Sub Saharan Africa and other emerging markets. Mr Obe has over 20 years of experience across the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, life sciences & clinical research industries globally, in various areas such as new product development, project management, business development, quality & regulatory compliance, clinical research, technology transfer, clinical trial material supply & commercial manufacturing.
He has worked and consulted with several large and midsize life sciences & consumer products companies globally such as Baxter Healthcare, Purdue Pharma, Catalent Pharma Solutions, Taro Pharmaceuticals, Bayer Healthcare, Merck & Company, Novartis, Johnson Products Nigeria, Ltd. , Biomerieux Inc. and Janssen Pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Scientist, Senior Project Manager and Consultant. Mr. Obe has also supported clinical research study startup, quality & GCP compliance at the site/clinic level by providing project consulting solutions & oversight.
Mr. Obe has a BA in Biological Sciences & Chemistry from Rutgers University, NJ, an MBA in Management & Finance from Long Island University, NY, and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from New York University, NY, USA. He also attended the University of St. Thomas Executive Education – Opus College of Business, Certified Professional Project Manager (CPPM) Program and is a Certified Professional Project Manager. Mr Obe is also a certified project management professional(PMP) with the project management institute.
Mr. Obe was a managing partner & founder of Phameds International, a global consulting and advisory firm. He is currently a Business Director & project consultant with Phamedics Consulting, a project consulting firm in the US focused on Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance solutions for regulated industries. He is also a Business Director of Phamedics Clinical Solutions, a Site Network Organization focused on working with diverse research physicians to promote participant diversity in clinical research. Mr. Obe is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientist, the American Management Association, Association of Clinical Research Professionals and the Project Management Institute.
He is the co-founder of Africans In Clinical Research, a research community created to advance the field of clinical research among Africans globally and provide a platform where professionals can network, be empowered, support and contribute to the advancement of the clinical research industry. He is also a member of African Views and a co-host/co-creator of the African Views produced radio program, African Health Dialogues.
African Health Dialogues was a weekly health care discussion on AV radio about awareness, progress and gaps, costs and accessibility of medical /pharmaceutical products and services within the African and African Diaspora communities worldwide.
He is most interested in creating and building enterprise development programs for sustainable business, economic & health care development in emerging markets, especially in Africa.
