Benson Uzoma is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in both clinical and administrative roles. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, where he was recognized for his exceptional contribution to patient care and dedication in the Neurosurgical ward.
Dr. Uzoma furthered his education with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, graduating with distinction from Obafemi Awolowo University. His clinical experience spans several reputable hospitals, including the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital and J-Rapha Hospital and Maternity in Ibadan. During his tenure, he honed his administrative skills and received commendations for his efforts in improving health services and his passionate approach to his duties.
Benson’s career in healthcare administration began at Keystone Bank Limited Healthcare, where he served as the Medical Operations Officer. He quickly advanced to the position of Head-Provider Administration, overseeing medical operations, risk management, and client services. He then took on the role of Regional Manager at Oceanic Health Management Limited before joining Novartis as a Medical Science Liaison.
Currently, Dr. Uzoma leads the Patient Programs team at Novartis, focusing on Patient Engagement and Advocacy across Sub-Saharan Africa.
In addition to his professional achievements, he is a public speaker, pastor, and member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA).
