Dr Benson works with the Kenya National Regulatory Authority (PPB) in the Product Safety Department, Clinical Trials Division as a Principal Regulatory officer. This involves oversight responsibility of clinical trials in the country.
He has a Degree in Pharmacy (Bpharm) for over 10 years and Masters in Pharmacology and Toxicology for over three years.
With a work experience of 13 years in regulatory affairs, Dr Benson has worked as the Regional Regulatory Coordinator in the Lower Eastern Region. He is currently occupying the position of Principal Regulatory Officer in the Clinical Trials Division.
He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) and member of the Ethics Committee in Clinical Trials in Kenya. Dr Benson Participated in the workshop in Japan pilot activity in strengthening regulatory agency capacity and Arise PMDA symposium in Japan.
