Dr Adeline Edgal, MBBS, MBA, MPH
Head Medical Affairs and Partnerships – Sub Saharan Africa (SSA)
Dr. Adeline Edgal is an accomplished professional with over 15 years’ experience in the field of clinical medicine, health Insurance and with over 10 years’ experience in the Pharma industry.
Adeline has built her career in Pharma within medical affairs function of Novartis, first joining in 2012 as a Medical Science Liaison for the Oncology and Hematology therapeutic areas, before taking on roles of increasing responsibility as Medical Advisor responsible for several therapeutic areas including Neuroscience and Ophthalmology and then Cluster Medical Head, leading the medical teams in both English and French West and Central Africa, before taking on her current role, leading the Medical Affairs and Health Systems Strengthening functions across SSA.
Adeline obtained her medical degree from the University of Benin in Nigeria, her master’s in business administration from the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos Business School (LBS) and her MPH from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, as well as certifications in Human Resources and Supply chain from LBS.
Adeline has a special interest in vulnerable populations (including children and pregnant women) and is focused on improving and extending the lives of patients especially in underserved populations to enable equitable access to health care irrespective of social economic status, geography, race, ethnicity or any other characteristic.
Adeline enjoys travelling, movies, reading and music in her down time.
