    Dr. Kazeem Adeola Oshikoya

    Professor of Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology,
    Department of Pharmacology, Therapeutics & Toxicology,
    Lagos State University College of Medicine

    Professor Kazeem Adeola Oshikoya is a physician-scientist, a consummate researcher and an astute educator at the Lagos State University College of Medicine, Ikeja. He is a Professor in Clinical Pediatric Pharmacology, Department of Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology. He bagged M.B; B.S and MSc degrees in Pharmacology at the University of Lagos, PhD in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and proceeded for his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Center for Pharmacogenomic Studies, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN, United States.

    His research interests are pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology, medical education that promotes rational prescribing, drug metabolism, and pharmacogenomics.

    His research has promoted safe and personalized medicine use among children. On several occasion, he has served as an expert witness in litigations on drug-related problems.

    He has published extensively in local and international peer-review journals with over a 100 publications to his credit. He has also published some book chapters in Medical Entrepreneurship.

    He belongs to several associations and learned societies including:

    • A Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMedS).

    He has won the following scholarship, awards, and travel grants:

    • NIH T32 Grant for Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacology at the Vanderbilt University Medical School, Nashville, Tennessee, United States, July 2015-June 2017.
    • Funding from the Carl Storm Under-Represented Minority Fellowship (CSURM) Program to attend Drug Metabolism Gordon Research Conference on Precision Medicine Revolution in Holderness School, 33 Chapel Lane, Holderness, New Hampshire, United States, July 2016.
    • Partial Scholarship from the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology to attend the 30th ICPE Meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, 2014
    • Visiting Editor to Therapeutic Guidelines in Melbourne, Australia (All Expenses Fully Funded). June 7-21, 2014.
