Ike Ogbaa
Vice President & Global Head of Medical Affairs, Bluebird Bio.
Ike Ogbaa, MD is an internal medicines trained Physician and the current Vice President & Global Head of Medical Affairs at Bluebird Bio. He was born in Owerri, Nigeria and moved to the United States at age 14 to pursue his studies. He attended Yale University for undergraduate studies and completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He has held increasing roles of responsibility at the Pharmaceutical Industry at Merck, Sanofi, Bayer, GSK & most recently at Chinook Therapeutics, A Novartis Company. His passion in life is to help bring new and better treatments to Sub-Saharan Africa in order to help the health inequity gaps.
